Welcome to Canyon Park Middle School!

I am honored to have been selected as your principal at Canyon Park Middle School. It is truly an amazing school, and I’m humbled by the fact that I join a long and storied group of outstanding educators and students who have made this school so special.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than 20 years. Prior to becoming a principal here, I was an elementary principal in our district for the past two years. A fun fact about me is that I was the assistant principal at Canyon Park prior to my first principal position; so this feels like a homecoming of sorts. Most of my teaching experience has been at the middle school level. I am thrilled to use my skills as an educational leader at Canyon Park and work with you as a partner in education to ensure the success for every student.

On a personal note, my husband and I have lived in the area for nearly 20 years. We have a very busy, and amazing 15 year old daughter who will be a sophomore in high school this school year. We also have four active dogs that keep us on our toes. In our free time we love to travel as a family.

As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our door is excited and feels welcomed to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. Most importantly, I bring a belief that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to unite my experience, my openness to learn, and my student-centered approach to supporting our learners. Because the relationship between families and the school are vital to the success of our students, I encourage you to become involved as much as possible. I look forward to meeting you soon!

I am thrilled to be the Assistant Principal at Canyon Park Middle School this year.

I have had the privilege of working at CPMS for the past 8 years as a classroom teacher, club supervisor and ASB Advisor. I also worked as the Music Coordinator for Northshore, supporting students and staff across the district. This year, I look forward to my first year as an assistant principal serving the incredible Canyon Park school community. As an educator, I am passionate about working with middle school learners and helping them find a sense of belonging and community at school. This year, I am committed to working closely with students, staff, families and community members to support student success at Canyon Park.

I love being the Dean of Students at Canyon Park. This is my neighborhood school, and it is always a joy for me to see students and families at and away from school.

My priority is always safety: this includes our feelings, relationships and actions. Finding ways to mend paths when they are broken and getting to know all the members of the Canyon Park family is my "thing".

I started at CPMS in 2018 as a Paraeducator working with mid-level students.  I cannot even express how much I enjoyed being back in middle school. When the Office Manager position became available, I jumped at the opportunity to utilize 30+ years of office experience with the combined opportunity to support students, parents, and staff. 

I grew up in Woodinville, attending Cottage Lake, Leota, and graduating from Woodinville High School.  I was voted "Class Clown", which still applies to me today, I have always loved making people laugh.  When I am not doing schoolwork, I love a good book, 80's music, hiking, riding my bike, and hanging with family and friends. 

Canyon Park Middle School has a special place in my heart. All of my children attended Canyon Park and I have worked here since 2009. I have the unique perspective as a parent, staff member, and as a member of the greater Bothell community. The students, families, and staff are simply the best!

When not working, you will find me gardening, reading, and spending time with family (furry members included) and friends.

I've been at Canyon Park since 2017. You can find me in the front office and, as Attendance Secretary, I will always be happy to see you. I love to read, and I love to cook. My favorite interactions with students are when I get recommendations for books and recipes.

My name is Mrs. Mildenhall and I am the registrar at Canyon Park. I have been at Canyon Park since 2014 and love the students, staff, and community that make Canyon Park so great. I am here to help students and parents with enrollment, registration, and records requests.

When I am away from work, I love to spend time with my family. Our favorite place to visit is the Oregon Coast.
